Series 45 of record group 59-4 consists of a map (ca. 1865) showing land ownership, dates and "LOC" numbers in T.5 N, R.40 W, Ontonagon County, Michigan, D.H. Holcomb, deputy surveyor, originally collected by either the Michigan Geological Survey or the Michigan Lands Division. Shows location of James Paul's cabin and "Copper Rock." The map was originally filed with the Office of the U.S. Mineral agent at Sault Ste. Marie. The map is 15 1/2" x 15 3/4" in size with a scale of 40 chns : 1 in.
